MY COMMENT OF SEVERAL DAYS AGO:
Senators:[Democrats on the Judiciary]
The Mukasey nomination must be opposed. He refuses to answer a question on a crime that is in the Military Code of Justice as well as International Law, and Bush excuses because the nominee has not been briefed and if that were required in a time of war, then no nominees could be confirmed. By this form of logic, Bush has no accountability and Congress has no role of oversight in a time of war.
The Guardian "It's not fair..."
Bush says nominee cannot answer a question if something is illegal, even if the administration is not doing it?
This must be investigated and the president held accountable for lying on this count, if anything counts.
There should also be an investigation on the scrap of paper quote.
